Dear Team Woodridge Families, Staff, and Community,
Welcome back! As I step into my 10th year as your proud principal, my excitement for this community is higher than ever. It is an absolute honor to lead a school where heart and hard work define everything we do. Our theme for this school year is:
"One Team, One Direction: Moving Forward Together."
We set high expectations because we know what our students are capable of, but we anchor ourselves in a vital promise: Because Team Woodridge Doesn't Walk Alone. We are committed to working side-by-side with our students, coaching and supporting them every step of the way to ensure they exceed their goals.
When Team Woodridge works together, we achieve the extraordinary. Thanks to the determination of our students and the dedication of our staff, we have historic milestones to celebrate from the 2025 GA Milestones Assessment:
- Literacy Leaders: We were officially recognized by the GaDOE with the Georgia Literacy Leaders: Elevating Achievement for Students through Literacy banner!
- Historic CCRPI Growth: Our academic metrics skyrocketed across the board, featuring a 6.8% increase in Content Mastery, a 15.1% increase in Progress Scores, a staggering 72.1% increase in Closing the GAPS, and a 4.4% increase in Readiness.
I am incredibly eager to see the newest data to witness exactly how our students have continued to shatter expectations. True champions are built both inside and outside the classroom. To support the whole child, we proudly introduced student participation in Honors Chorus, Soccer, and Track last year. Watching our students shine on the stage, the field, and the track was a true highlight of my decade here, and we cannot wait to expand these opportunities.
We are ready to lace up our sneakers, lock arms, and move forward into our best year yet. Thank you for your continued partnership and teamwork.
